Description

An exquisite example of a backstrap belt loom from Peru!  The intricate weaving on it was made of handspun sheep and alpaca wool in white, purple, burgundy, brown, green and indigo. It was originally purchased from the Center for Traditional Textiles, based in Cusco in the early 2000’s and made by Analia Callanaupa Quispe.  The woven part  measures 4″ wide x 18″ long and the wooden loom parts ate 10″ wide.  It makes a beautiful wall hanging!
