This bright multicolored huipil, woven with a soft indigo background, depicts the patterns common to the Maya of Nahuala. Brocaded cats, birds and flowers adorn this well loved cotton 2 panel backstrap woven work of art. Mayan women proudly wear their traditional clothing which is highly prized by westerners for their beautiful and varied designs and colors.
It is cotton, 36″ wide by 29″ long when folded and 58″ long open with a fringed bottom. This is not sewn down the sides so has some versatility if you do not want to wear it. They look beautiful hung on the wall too hung over a rod.
