This lovely rug was donated from the personal collection of fiber artist, Catherine Joslyn of CR Designs, from her travels to Mexico. The beautiful soft colors of the earth were derived from natural plant dyes and the natural grey and cream colors of the sheep. Zapotec patterns mixed with more modern designs are accentuated by the predominantly burnt orange, mustard yellow, deep navy, brick red, natural cream, and sage green that make this piece. It is a wool weft faced weave on a cotton warp, skillfully made in Oaxaca, Mexico.
A gorgeous rug such as this would be a stunning addition to any home. It measures 23″ wide x 38″ long plus fringe.
