Cathy Stevulak donated this wonderful award winning documentary “THREADS” is a story of the revival of kantha embroidery as told by a group of Bangladeshi artisans who stitched stories of their culture for three decades and changed lives, stitch by stitch. These women, together with their visionary leader, artist Surayia Rahman, refined the domestic art of kantha to bring hope and opportunity for their families. Their ‘nakshi kantha tapestries’ are in museums and private collections worldwide. The “THREADS” movie took five years to research and produce and has screened in conversation with communities on five continents. The film is on DVD and runs for 30 minutes. Each DVD has two language versions of the movie, for personal use. The first, English and Bengali languages with English sub-titles and the second, a Bengali dubbed version.  This was Directed by Cathy Stevulak, in cooperation with filmmakers in Bangladesh, Canada, USA.
