Description
Likely a portion of a vintage Indian door toran, which would be hung over a home entrance to welcome guests. (It’s possible this is another type of Indian embellishment.) In the Banjara style, the piece features embroidery, applique and mirrorwork. There are two tassels (one is missing). There are three banner points; the piece measures 7″ wide and 6″ tall. A lovely textile that can be hung anywhere.
