Description
This beautiful wall hanging depicting a Peace Dove was made by WARP member Katy Clements. The dove of peace is the universal symbol of peace, humanity, and love. Her inspiration for this masterfully woven piece came from an avid peace activist friend, who at 90 years old, continues to do all that she can to promote peace in the world. Katy used a wool rug yarn for the weft and linen twining and polyester for the warp. The yarn used in the dove outline, sprigs and border are a beautiful cornflower blue. This lovely handwoven piece was made in Brooklyn, NY and comes with a Navajo rug wall hanger. It measures 30.5 ” wide by 28” high.
