Description

This simple but pretty cotton piece has cultural significance. It is a men’s ceremonial headpiece used in Santiago on Lake Atitlan in Guatemala.  It was purchased in the 1980’s and is red, purple, gold and brown with 3 purple tassels at the ends. It would work as a nice table runner for those not participating in any ceremonies, hang it on the wall or throw it around your neck. It measures 22″ wide x 54″ long.
