The Gloria Davis Memorial Assistantship offers financial assistance for members to attend WARP’s Annual Meeting. There is no age requirement to qualify for this award. In exchange for financial assistance, recipients help at the Annual Meeting, and are involved in a range of conference activities. These activities may include welcoming attendees at registration, setting up and putting away furniture and equipment, helping with the Marketplace and Auction, and solving problems. Work assignments will be made and supervised by the Executive Director and Board members. Assistants will have time to attend sessions.
Recipients must arrive at the Marriott West (conference hotel) on Wednesday, May 15th to help with conference check in, and plan to stay through Saturday, May 18th. This year, the assistantship award will cover registration costs for the Annual Meeting, registration for Colorado Weavers Day on Saturday, room and board, and travel expenses (up to $500 for domestic travel and up to $1000 for international travel).
