What can we say? This is a stunning piece of artwork. Purchased in the 1980’s in India, this gorgeous skirt was skillfully embroidered on a handwoven, and possibly handspun, cotton maroon fabric that gradates from dark at the top to lighter as it goes down. The colorful embroidery covers the entire skirt in assorted repeat patterns and designs plus peacocks! Little mirror touches glitter throughout.  It is from the Rabari culture. This is approximately a Medium. It measures up to 30″ when stretched and can be tied for a smaller size, It is 28″ long and 92″ around the flared bottom.
