Fabulous Wall Hanging – Origin Unknown

Description

This is one of those rare pieces we have no clue as to what it was for, how it was made or where it was from.  It’s stunning though and would be be a great wall decoration.  The upper red and black body look like strips of maybe a knotting technique, and sewn together.  The fringe is really amazing with beadwork, coils, twisted fringe and hand weaving, adorned with metal pieces. The body measures 6.5″ wide x 22″ long. The fringe is 11″ long so 33″ in total. Donated by a member of the Harmony Weavers Guild.
