Description

A repeated geometric pattern is the hallmark of this vintage Kuba cloth panel, which is made from raffia palm fiber. In Kuba (also known as baKuba) culture, men cultivate raffia palm and weave the cloth on inclined, single-heddle looms. Women are responsible for application of the surface design. In this piece, the surface design includes an earth-tone cut pile, which adds dimension. Measures 12″ wide by 28″ long. Great for a wall accent!
