Description
A charming Zapotec cultural fusion, bringing the popular Mexican folk art sculpture form of fantastical (fantasy/mythical) creatures to textiles through embroidery. These colorful alebrijes are hand embroidered onto heavy white cotton towels that measure 12″ wide x 20″ long. Bought at the gift shop of the Folk Art Museum (Museo de Arte Popular) in Mexico City. These towels have not been used, and would be great for hand towels for guests or kitchen dish towels. They are certainly a conversation piece!
