Resplendent Quetzal and Patterned Table Runner – Guatemala

Description

So many beautiful colors burst from this amazing double sided table runner.  Zig zag and chevron patterns separate 3 panels of brocade quetzals.  On the reverse side there are just panels of quetzals separated by solid sections of blue with 3 colors of stripes running down both edges. It’s a stunning piece that took a master to skillfully weave this on a backstrap loom. It measures 16″ wide x 86″ long and although meant for the table, would also make a nice wall hanging.  Donated by a member of the Harmony Weavers Guild.
