Description
Handweaving is a form of ritual, a way of coming home and connecting to the rhythms of life. When I sit down to weave, I gather inwards, feel the natural pace of my breath, and hold space for silence. My designs emerge from this stillness. Reflecting the wave-like rhythm of handweaving, this piece is inspired by the process of letting the loops lead me as the pieces are created, just like the sea ebbing and flowing with unique irregularity. The knots and shades of green, turquoise, blue, brown, and ochre mirror the billows and rolls of waves as they form, build and crash on the shoreline. Color and texture combine over and over again. This weaving technique and design are completely original and devised by me, creating something truly special.
