Description

This traditionally woven ikat skirt from Thailand’s Isan region is worn by folding it in the front, and holding it in place with either a belt or tucked in at the waist. It is a complex weft ikat, with discontinued supplemental weft patterning and supplemental warp patterning. The waistband is a separate piece, as is traditional in this region, as well as the bottom border. This cotton skirt is sewn into a loop. The total length is 64″ around, and it is 34″ wide.
