2023 Annual Meeting – Next Month!
With WARP’s 2023 Annual Meeting coming up next month (July 13-16), make sure you check out the program overview and registration details! We have a 3-day program option, a 1-day option, and a discounted registration for students. And if you can’t join us in person, make sure you register for the free virtual option!
Members’ Textile Exhibition
With our new website, we launched the Virtual Catalog of the 2023 Members’ Exhibition! Here, you can view all of the works that are on display at the KSU Downtown Gallery in Kent, Ohio until July 15th.
If you fall in love with something included in the exhibition, you can also purchase it directly through the online catalog, and it will be shipped to you in July after the exhibit closes.
Monthly Virtual Programs
Over the past couple of years, our monthly virtual programs have become an integral part of how we connect with WARP members and the textile community at large. Our monthly Continuing Textile Traditions panel discussions are free & open to all, and the Meet a Member Fireside Chats series is for WARP members only. Make sure you keep an eye on our Upcoming Events Page for programs that are of interest to you, and check out our Previous Events Page for recordings of events you may have missed.
Publication Listing
A fantastic resource on the new website is our List of Books, Articles, and Films by WARP members. With over 200 publications listed, it is searchable by topic & author. If you are looking for new reading material or researching a particular textile-related topic, this is a great place to spend some time exploring!
Artisan Direct-Connect
The Artisan Direct-Connect Page is a directory of resources that WARP members offer. There are beautiful handwoven textiles, baskets, and other items available for both retail and wholesale. If you are planning a trip, our tours section features WARP members who lead textile-focused tours in various countries. You’ll also find members who offer services to help grassroots economies that depend on making textiles. Browse the directory below to learn more!
Members’ Area
The Members’ Area of the new website is a wonderful resource for WARP members. If you are a member, make sure you log in and check out all of the great features. There is an interactive membership directory, where you can look up other WARP members in your area. Members are invited to use the discussion forum to share announcements and start discussion threads. You will also find the most recent Summer 2023 Newsletter, which is only available to members.
