This handwoven Peruvian bag beautifully captures the spirit of the Andes with its rich colors and traditional textile design. Crafted on a backstrap loom by skilled artisans, it features bold stripes in earthy tones of plum, rust, and olive, accented by intricate geometric patterns. The sturdy woven straps and durable cotton blend fabric make it perfect for everyday use, while its cultural heritage adds a touch of authenticity and artistry. A timeless piece that blends functionality with the vibrant beauty of Peruvian craftsmanship. Features outside front pockets and a zipper closure top. The shoulder straps are 31″ long, with a 12″x14″ body and a 4″x10″ base. This purse was made by members of the Center for Traditional Textiles in Peru. A gift from Nilda Callanaupa to Cathie Joslyn at the 2024 International Folk Art Market in Santa Fe, NM. Cathie passed away in Florida while the market was taking place. This item was gifted to the WARP auction in memory of Cathie Joslyn.
