Networking Roundtable: “The Nettle Dress” Film Screening & Discussion
November 25, 2025
Join WARP for our new monthly members program! In January, we began a series of Networking Roundtable online discussion groups for members on Zoom. The goal is to give members an opportunity to network and discuss topics of interest that advance WARP’s overall mission.
This month, please join the WARP Networking Roundtable in watching the film, The Nettle Dress. A moving film by Dylan Howitt, textile maker Allan Brown spent seven years making a dress by hand from locally foraged stinging nettles. As he collects, processes, spins, and weaves the nettle, we watch as he survives the loss of his wife and finds a way to honor her. As an example of Hedgerow Couture, it is the greenest of slow fashion and likewise his medicine.
Winner of the Audience Award Cinecity Brighton, Audience Award Screenplay Shetland, and Audience Award Glimmerglass Film Days (Cooperstown, NY) this film evokes enchanting storytelling.
The film is 68 minutes long and will be followed by a Networking Roundtable Discussion.
