Your $5.00 raffle ticket gives you a chance to win this black and gray cotton, backstrap-woven huipil tunic. It is lightweight and has a lovely drape – the perfect all-season garment. The body is made of three panels joined together with a decorative stitch. Made by Odilon Merino Morales from San Pedro Amuzgo on the Costa Chica of Oaxaca, Mexico, the huipil was purchased at the International Folk Art Market in Santa Fe in 2016. The body of the tunic measures about 54” around, with a length of 36”.
