Join WARP for our July panel discussion, where we will revisit some of our memories, lessons, and highlights of this year’s Annual Gathering in Guelph, Ontario.

Panelists:
Linda Johnson lives in Burlington, Ontario. In 2003, she took her first weaving course at the Art Gallery of Burlington in Burlington, Ontario, Canda. She joined the Burlington Handweavers and Spinners Guild that same year. She is currently the Vice President of the Guild as well as a Teaching Assistant for the weaving courses taught at the Art Gallery. She currently has four different looms in her studio and she currently has warps on all of them. Over the last few years, she has done two trips with Loom Dancer Odysseys.
Gwendolyn Fiske, from Brigus Junction, Newfoundland and Labrador, is an artist at her core, currently exploring the depth and inner workings of knitting and weaving. Her work focuses on problem-solving through the design of functional, thoughtfully crafted items. Gwendolyn hopes to create pieces that are not only beautiful but also essential, seamlessly blending purpose, sustainability, and artistic expression.
A WARP member for more than 10 years, Kate Colwell has been traveling and making textiles since early childhood. Currently retired from several healthcare careers, Kate still enjoys travel. At home or on the road she works on tiny tapestries or knitting. Kate is on the Board of Mayan Hands and her interest is in how to protect and promote the health of artisans.
